Godfried Donkor's 'Story of a Township' is an ongoing exploration into the hidden forces of architectural and social evolution. Influenced by the fusion taking place in North Africa between traditional structures and the powers of modernisation 'Story of a Township' consists of collections of insignia, objects, photographs, drawings, and video documentation collated by Donkor over the last ten years. In London these collections manifest themselves in site specific installations which connect the fast moving communities of the city to their changing architectural environments by making visible and manifest the processes of social evolution effecting them.
